BUILDING A CUSTOM CENTER CONSOLE - AN OVERVIEW

Gonna build a padded lid that will require wrapped far too. Could use help on form of hinges to work with. Was thinking about making a leather-based pouch type pocket as an alternative to making something rigid from fiberglass. Any ideas to make this far better/much easier are welcome.
